2711 days ago I tried to sandwich in a sail before the Attention Seeking mIssiles required taxi services, feeding and all the other tiresome duties that go with attending to your genetic line. Who knew they required so much time? I thought the job was done once your DNA was on its way.
I hit the water, things were looking promising, Shane turned up, the breeze swung from WSW to SW and dropped a few knots and stayed that way until I had to leave. It was obviously Shane's fault, I am just not sure how he did it.

yee ha
well that was fricken awesome...
glory holes was very good today. have a smile on my dial you could not remove with a angle grinder.
started out a bit holey so went with the m137/tribal ws 33 and a 7.8 severne R5 overdrive.
prob should have changed down later as wind filled in very nicely and the arms got
well and truely stretched.
would have went faster on smaller gear but dont really care as was having too much fun.
def a top ten ratty day....

2710 days ago 2 categories Here's some PERSPECTIVE for you. Just windsurfed for nearly 2 hrs in beautiful conditions, but I felt a bit whingy, coz the wind never really came in, I didn;t really go that fast, I never nailed any alphas, my Nm attempts were lame, and data analysis was disappointing, OH POOR ME. get a text from Binny, her brother in law, nice guy about mid fifties, 2 young kids, just diagnosed with malignant cancer in his stomach, and things don't look good. family is devastated. WTF am I whinging about

Rushed home from work, John just packing up and Ratz flying around. Had a great sail, nice to have a decent seabreeze for once.

2710 days ago 1 categories 'ken suggested going for an hour today, I wasn't sure I had one in me, Hardie was sure he hadn't, Sammy was also dubious, but I gave it ago anyway in case 'ken needed backup. Stuffed one gybe when I did a bear off in a good gust, then gybed into a lull and got back winded, no other way but down!
Was surprised to see 24NMs on the clock when I finished the hour, so I was expecting a good number, but I hadn't realised how far I'd gone before I started the hr.
Same gear as yesterday, 48, 5.8 and 21@45, didn't pick up weed today, my slight mod of the tip leading edge must have worked.
We discovered a new hazard today, Wednesday is net fishing night, trouble is the fishermans interpretation of night is a bit looser than ours. Woops just read the rules, seems it's the dept's interpretration of night is at fault, according to them "night" starts at 4.30PM!!!!!
I managed to see the floats in time to gybe, but Crasher wasn't so lucky, neither was the stingray he hit earlier! So this is something to be aware of late Wednesday arvos.

2710 days ago Liptons again.. been wind in my place and sailing in patching wind in Mandurah! Classic! The only thing I went for was a total failure, running out of wind half way the NM . Sorry captain! The rest was just fun hooking onto anyone realy. Had a fun blast and never look the GPS to the end . Not sure if I had an hr in coz never went for coz too tired from yesterday!
Anyway, good fun wiz a good crew out, good to catch up with Paul, Tom and Shano
Got late home coz I had a stop at the beach watching the sunset near Mike's place after missing the beautiful one yesterday
There was a very strange big wall of thick cloud in the horizon all across.. weird!
Time for a feed
Usual gear..

Planned to head to Novara to try for the hour, but when I drove past the wind seemed to be blowing pretty good, so I decided to join everyone else at Liptons. Turned out the wind backed off quite quickly. Let the captain and team down on the hour, too many times having to walk out of the shallows and stop to pull clumps of weed off my fin ... and bit gaps in the wind. Sorry, but still, I had heaps of fun. Looks like the captain and Elmo managed to improve our hour anyway, so well done guys!
