Pretty wild conditions off whiting beach on the mid tide so had to "shelter" at the far end of the run. Perfect angle sailing right up to the top red marker but not as strong. Some nice runs from the top down to the sand bank but as conditons started to smooth out, a storm hit so pulled the plug.

Never delivered as much as predicted today.

Rigged too small for conditions.Still fun to be on water.

Wow wow wow that was windy. Typical havnt used a 5.6 for 2 years so i sold it a month ago and today was the day i needed it.

Gear was just too big for this little guy Tongue out.

Its was difinetly a possible 40 day just couldnt hold it down.

If Tuesday was "Much Ado About Nothing" then today was "The Tempest" The faithful gathered for the late session at Lota to catch the falling tide. Unforetunately the storm beat us. My first and only run on the 47 was running into the malestrom of wind, rain and lightning.

That felt more like a boxing match than a wind surfing session.  I went for a sail on to outside north of the jetty.  WAY overpowered on 85 lt wave board, 4.7 NP Combat and a tiny fin!  I needed a 4 oh.  Had a few runs, screwed almost every jibe, sail just way to loaded up as I initiated the turn each time, and smashed my back on the boom doing an end over.  Did get a few OK jumps though. Stay out until the storm was getting too close.  Looks like there were some good speeds at Lota. Till next time

Too much wind overpowered with the small gear and very exhausting in the end I gave up trying to gybe and just ditched it both ends.

Storm approching so I call it a day plus I was too stuffed so live another day to sail

Well sailed guys!! Rigged 6.3 twice and managed to do 24knot 2 sec trying to get my foot in the back strap, Lota was a fizzer, think some had a long walk after the storms hit. Won’t post as I only sailed 500m and walked 3.5km. Saw Vando do 5 more runs after he said 1 more😎

Good to see you guys haven't forgotten how to go fast. Sorry Vando, did have a bit of a smirk when I saw your forecast for the day :) Didn't really have enough time to tweak that 5.6 before it went off the dial down here and I changed to 5.0. The downhaul mellowed off a bit, not surprising considering it was the first time it got wet. Will likely have to use one more extension hole than I did yesterday.
