Alloy.........is not recommended for windsurfing booms ... Broke on outbound run so at least the return side was intact. Amazing how a breakage focuses your attention on all manner of equipment , as you are sailing along.
Anyway ,a quick swap to the Chinook and I was back on the high seas with 7.8 OD and 114 Futura directed by 35WS.
Pretty much the lone Pirate , the others either heavily involved in arboriculture , injured in dramatic circumstances or simply absconding to Weyba to socialise with those pesky Vikings. Still , plenty of takers , Kenlo-the Brave , Phil-the-dog whisperer , Richard-gybe-a-bit , Retro-Rob-Bob-Whoever and a cameo by returned lubber King-a-Ray.
Wind variable but mostly ok except for last 20k when it turned to what we know as SHITE!
