Liptons, fabulous sail, Over 60's day with all the oldies sailing, then late afternoon 2 youngies turned up. New Sail Simmer SCR 6.3m need to learn to rig it better. Simmer 3XS 62/96 and New Pepefoil 23 progressive rake, excelled in the weed. I need to start to learn how to tune gear now.

Fangyland with a bunch of reprobates, probably the biggest bunch I have seen on the plot for a year or so.
I didn't believe the forecast so I went big. Way too big it turned out and was terribly overpowered but I was not going too waste time in some weedy goodness by changing down. The tide was high compared to a typical summers set of conditions, but the inside bank still managed to privide some fun runs down hill on the Barge. Once again the little FF22 16 series fin managed to hold on but there was not much chance I was going to do much more than wrestle my way into the top corner and then just try and keep the basket under the balloon downhill. I sailed for as long as I could hold on and enjoyed every second of it. Top Ten Fangy early start to a season!
Party Barge 310, Avalon 8.4, FF22 16series proto.
A quick video of the rogue berg lurking in the top corner. I couldn't quite muscle my through it...
And a quick squirt down the inside on the Barge. Turn the sound off- there is a nasty resonance in the mic.

BACK in the WEED!!!!! At Fangys.
But only just, still a bit to go for full covergae still some very nice flat runs, and the promise is there of more to come.
Joined the boys at the Nairns end, with about 15kts wind, but forecast to increase. Went with the 6.6koncept, 55cm board and 21cm@55deg.
a few lulls but I was planing all the time, wind picked up as forecast, and for a change probably peaked as forecast around 5pm. But I'd had enough by then. Would have gone better on the 48cm board and 6.2, but it was too late and I was too tired.
have this on the clipboard now so may as well paste it here.
