Gloria aka Jacko (1400km):
4 hours ago Coodanup, WA, AU Fabulous day, nice wind, flat water and great bunch of sailors….too many to mention. I had a ball and tried to master going downwind…still a work in progress…with help from Waricle. Wish I had better stamina but happy just to be out there S fox 105, S turbo 5.5, Fangy fin.

Fun day out on the water. Started out just planning and the harness lines were all over the place. Very frustrating experience, so I I lengthened them and moved them forward, that seemed to work. Decided today would be the day that I practiced my gybes… a very wet practice session. The sun was slowly moving west and the wind wasn’t doing much. Going across it was fine, however; my bear aways were another story. The lack of wind made my speed runs a challenge, for a solid 2 1/2 hours I could not get passed 26knts. It was at that moment that the wind picked up just enough to score a 27.
The sun slowly began to set and the crowd grew fewer and fewer. The golden rays ignited the horizon, with a broad range of yellows and oranges. The chop glistened as it moved into the foreshore and the seaweed glowed a beautiful glow of bright green hued with golden yellow, and the wind…stopped. My 80L Isonic slowed down and just planned across the sun kissed waters of Coodanup. At this moment with nothing to loose I practiced my chop hops, the fun was extrodinary until the Kestrel 20 gave way and turned my run into a sideways grovel. My body grew weak and the sun illuminated my beautiful harness fling after a hand drag.
A good turnout Waricle, Maree, Ant and Gloria to name a very small few. A big thank you to Maree for letting me borrow a garmin to view my speeds for that session.
