CR5.6, Sonic85, WeedSpeed26. Looks like I got some of the early wind at Melville. Probably rigged a tad small (that thought reinforced when watching Darryl cruise around with a 9m!), but still good fun 'til the wind dropped. Tried chasing Darryl on some long runs across the river but was so far off the pace he probably didn't notice that's what I was doingEmbarassed. Good to see Paul and Anne back in WA and Bogdog back on the team list - lets work hard to get Borgy back too!

Trying out some gear combos this afternoon at Melville. Main thing I wanted to try out was the repaired 9.0 code red. Pleased to report all held together, ( I am a little tired now though). Started with isonic 121 and with 46 tiga fin. Changed to 36 jp weedy. All sort of worked but struggled upwind. Then swapped to isonic 111, 42 goldwing and 9.0m code red. Sail is probably on the uper size limit for this board. Again felt under finned  but at least I know i can get away with it.

6.6 KA koyote Naish Titan.Cry

It would appear that the real team challenge for the Perth Southsiders is to get our big guns to wear their GPI's Yell

Exocet Cross 104L with T-bird 7.0M & 36cm F2 fin

This board & sail are a perfect match, just need some decent breeze to get it powered upTongue out

Very ordinary sail after work, the wind was dying as we riggedFrown

Luckily I waited for an hour and got a couple of gusts very lateLaughing

Nice to see some new board & sail brands appearing on the beach, I'm tired of seeing the same old same oldSurprised

CR 7.0; iSonic 105; Choco Weedspeed 30

What a crap after work session...clearly should have rigged the 8.1. Wind was dying the whole time and was all over the place. Must say I'm surprised by the speeds cos it felt like I was doing  about 25 knots max...every downwinder the breeze died, couldn't gybe to save myself!! Grr!!

Good to see lots of the team out though (some sans GPS)!

Darryl, the CR 9.0 looked good yesterday. The twist on that thing is amazing!

I've never had to take the "Walk of Shame" (as in come in to the bank down wind and walk back to ya car).  I got caught a long way down wind yesterday just as the fan got switched off. I took the "Walk of Shame" - not happy!

Yeah Jay, I had the "stand of shame" waiting on the bank for a little puff to get back in.

I noticed a few gusts Nelson...AFTER I got home!!

Good distance Darryl.

I agree Annie.... I think we need to permanently attach GPS's to our big guns...superglue perhaps...I won't mention any names but you know who you are Jesper, Danny & Steve!
