iSonic 90, KA Race 5.5, 20cm MUF Delta
Is scerrifying a word? It should be, because that's what today was. The distance says it all, I spent more time standing holding on to my gear than sailing. It was great for the first 30-45 mins, then the wind just went nuts. Halfway down to Illawarra today, I realised I didn't pack the speed board, but the iSonic 90 with the 20cm delta was a fun combo anyway, until it wasn't.
This was my whole day. The last five bursts was trying to get back to the launch spot waaay overpowered.

CA-SP50 - HSM-GPS5.0 - MUF Delta 17
First time back to Primbee since the Broken rib fiasco. It was always going to be battle of the mind for me today.
Then Primbee up the ante with some shit scarry winds blowing sheets of mist across the Lake.
Only did one one run down and back. Most of my time was spent waiting out the wind gusts waiting for lulls
Current Score Primbee 2 - Me 0
Thanks to Keith for the lend of the Mast after my HSM400 snapped.

what a day for november - first timeout on TRX .5.9
gothtere about 10:30 adn wind was a nice 20 kn or so - took the 5.9 and 90 lt board out and had perfect flat water nicely powered long runs for about an hour till thewind started shifting to the west and picked up to 30-40 knots - was over powered but sail perfomred well . the board witha delta fin on other hand was just plain scary in the gusts.
lots ppl down there and a few PBs and broken gear.

Hmmm, realised way too late my wildly out of control rig has hit me and somehow turned GPS off or something??? Doesnt really matter as I lost my mojo today and was out of control in the windiest part of the day in wickedly gusty wind. Rigged a 6.4 and went nup, so bolted home to get 5.8 and small board. Went out with 79, woeful!!! Too small for those conditions. Tried 99 and was OK but wind was from glass to 35+. Too hard. Latter part of day was better but too buggered by then. Shouldve gone north. One half decent bear away, pfffftt!!

Quick few runs till the Conan rescue. Wayne broke his mast out in the middle of the lake, many thanks to Ben and Roger also. Mind you Wayne really did rescue himself, swimming and paddling for miles across the wind.
Huge waves, just over a metre apart.
