Better day off the beach with ~10-18 knots.

iS101, 7.0 Blade, 37 KA Sl / iS122, 8.8 CRed, 48 Talon - Lammermoor Beach, QLD, AU Wind 10 - 16knots

Was a little too ambitious going out with the 7.0 Blade and iS101 but I thought the wind was going to pick up as forecasted .  Got a couple of okay runs but eventually ended up slogging for about half an hour.  Came in and rigged the big gear butwind had dropped even more by the time I got to the water and only had a few underpowered runs.  Still a magnificent day on the Cap Coast (hopefully the wind will fill in tomorrow and Tuesday)

At last some wind on Tinaroo dam.       Just good to get out on water  after 15 days of doldrums.     Very gusty conditions and had to dodge a plethora of  water ski-ers  and jet bikes....sunny conditions.        ...used 105l Screamer and 5.9m Loft 02.

Been no wind on dam for 15 days and the weather has been getting a bit cool and I have been thinking about going to Kurrimine Beach, but woke today to signs of wind and a mild sunny day so we decided to brave the hordes of ski-ers and picnic makers.     Water was rough as guts and the wind came in bullits that would outdo Libya but great to get on water.    Felt pretty useless to start with but gradually got used to it.

Used Lyn's 6.6m Loft 02 and the S/cross.    LG...  LIFES GOOD.

Kermit, 7.5 Koncept, Clifton beach

Still not much wind but better than yesterday. Wind died after first run so sat down with Kel and had a beer. By the time we finished the beers the wind had filled in a bit so ended up with an ok sail.

Headed to Clifton to sail with the Capt'n Cam and Gaz, when i arrived firie was going ok and cam looked powered up near double island. I rigged my 6.0 Vmg with Iso96 and dashed to water only to see bob struggling to get back to the beach. So i slogged out to the wind line and just managed to get on the plane, only had one run out and back when the wind dropped more so headed in for a team meeting with Gaz. After one standard coopers time measurement i borrowed Gaz's 7.5 Concept and headed back out. The wind filled in a bit after a couple of runs so i gave it back and grabbed my gear again had 3 of 4 more runs before it died completely.

Bloody awesome speed for the beach Cam Tongue outCool

I came down and couldn't see you but your daughter said you were out there Laughing Very tired after nightshift, I couldn't remember my sail settings and forgot my GPS Embarassed Sailed for about an hour but couldn't get in the grove, wind was so so at first then good, I saw Kel hit the water just as it died, I spent awhile dunking the nutsack till I was in the water, I was close to beach so swam it in. Of course it picked up again after I derigged and bolted.

This was by far my best sail since the begining of November 2010, I just checked my data, not counting today I have sailed 4 times in 6 full months and I have covered a whole 57K's TOTAL. I'm soooooo over it Yell

Nice team effort, good to see the Tinaroo chapter post again, I was worried they might have turned to golf or something Smile I know Rowdy is sailing Kurrimine, Rico's trying a potential spot near Ingham and Rossco's missing in action at Trinity somewhere.

Looks like a lot better day for you this time Gaz.

Sorry to bail guys, I never saw Cam or Gaz (or even his rocket), only saw Kel wobbling out as we crossed paths. Chasing Chris around the water hole seemed like a better option Wink But dam, missed out in a Coopers Yell

Bloody hope so Brad, might jump to the dark side Surprised

Min we have been looking after about 300 taddies and watching them turn into frogs, have released about 250 so far Cool

News from Port.Had a quick sail yesterday arvo on the tail end of a south east  trade wind. was an average sail on gear that was a bit on the small side. My own fault  i was to lazy to unload ute as i still had smaller gear in it from the day before, Thursday arvo has one of the best sessions i have ever had maxed out all arvo 6.5 sail and a smaller than usual fin,had 20kts with some very refreshing gust seawas choppy which made it a full on but fun blast..the down side was GPS did not work again... Hoppy Bob FirieBob and Fast Freddie have spent time with my dear girl sorting out GPS..Think it is now working,Many thanks to everyone..Cheers Ed...
