Benny McCarthy (14648km):  2 categories   Holloways Beach, QLD, AU Well that was so much better than the forecast suggested! Got out on the water for a solo sesh at the mudpit on the big gear a tad before 2pm. Wind was 11~15kn SE closer inshore to begin with and 15~18kn SE further out into the blue with occasional higher gusts. 2nd sail after getting over the virus- felt much better today! Most consistent wind so far this year for the mudpit I reckon and it just kept getting better the longer the sesh went. Was wishing I was on smaller gear at times to take advantage of some nice smooth patches which developed between the swell lines out past the shark buoys. Had a teabagger for company for a short stint. Ended up being all great fun in the sun, in boardies, in Tropical Far North QLD Paradise! Used the Jag 125, Severne 8.6 M1, Venom 48 Happy Mothers Day for all the Mums out there tomorrow! "Long May our Big Jibs Draw!" | ||||||||||||||||||
