4654 days ago another day another sail at green. good fun today. took dad out for a sail and went for a bit of a crusie this morning over the reef flats as the tide retreated. dad followed me and nearly got stuck not realising my fin was half the size as his. had a few runs on the eastern patch but there wasnt enough wind to do anything epic. this arvo was nice on the northern. wind had picked up to 22 knots and the water was staring to get flatter. me kelly toody and cam were all pushing each other. but kelly took line honours and had to buy the beers on the boat home.
last day out there tomorow and its looking good. fingers crossed.

all good speeds and alpha on the northern run.
Used Isonic 96, venom 34 and the very nice Switchblade 7.3

4654 days ago Port Douglas, QLD, AU,Sunday session..Got down the beach late in the arvo,nice breeze blowing rigged 7.3m.jumped on trusty 101 for a quick blast, keen to see if GPS would work.Was at Fast Fredies place this morning looking at film clips from Green Island,Got told again that i was sailing with boom to low, so ilifted boom 1 inch for afternoon sail,rig felt like crap and i fell in the drink on first gybe was 'not happy ' sailed back to beech changed boom hight and blasted till dark happy again..Just don't seem to be able to get my head around sailing with high boom,not even alittle bit...Had an unreal session fully pumped in15 to18kts nice choppy sea..My old 101 isn't the fastest board on the block but it is great fun in a choppy sea..Hey Mal thanks for GPS mate,have a good trip back down the coast see you next year...Cheers Ed..

The 7.8 was already rigged -should have changed down as the wind got up to 22-24 in the afternoon session
Great FUN !!! So amazing on the water .Gybing was a handful however...
Was very competitive today -I enjoyed that aspect very much !!
