Benny McCarthy (14648km):  5 categories      Green Island, Far North QLD, AU Managed to sneak in a day off, so snuck over to the island for a fun solo sesh. First sail in 26 days! (not that I'm counting)... Wind predominately 13~17kn which is pretty much what I was expecting. No speed runs today due to wind direction/strength. Nice day for distance instead. Plenty of crystal clear water depth all day and sunny skies. Lots of waterlife present and the island was buzzing with tourists! Was lucky to get a ticket over on the ferry in fact!! Just another day in Tropical Paradise! Used the Jag 125, Severne 7.8 M2 OD, Tribal 38 "Long May our Big Jibs Draw!" | ||||||||||||||||||
Gustfront (1903km):  2 categories Surprisingly nice wind after yesterday's dud. ESE 18kts (G22kts). Tabou slalom 61 with 6.6sqm and 39cm fin. Sailed out to Low Isles and back. Water was very rough and unpredictable. Hard going. Hard to go fast. Sail felt good but a bit over finned. The conditions were certainly easier and faster once I got back to 4 mile.
