Green Island, QLD, AU

First time back to the island this year and good to have Benny for company as you never know what part of your gear could explode after sitting in the shed for 6 months.

Wind was a bit on and off with the rain squals, but overall a very nice day with beautiful warm clear water and 20ish knots.

Used Isonic W63, 6.2 Overdrive R6 duct tape edition and SW29Cool

Green Island, QLD, AU  Fun day over on the Island with Captain Kel!  First sail here for the year for both of us!!

Bit of rain to being with, then the breeze freshened up for us both to be scooting around.  Kel didn't miss a beat as usual.

Used the ol' XO 100lt board with Severne OD 6.2 R4 with Tribal 31WS fin for most of the session.  Plugged in the JP60 88lt board with Tribal 29WS fin for the last 30mins of the sesh to try a couple of speed runs as the tide was retreating.

Got a bit excited...  The 2nd run in had lots of potential...  Loaded up the fin to the "enth degree" to bear off at the tip of the Island...  Start of entry felt great!, then the fin let go (probably my fault), followed by a tailwalk & nothing short of a miracle not to end up on the coral rocks...  Believe it or not, no damage done to both sailor & gear!!  Kel said it was a magnificent save!!! Laughing

All good fun! Cool
