Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Isonic 107, 7.3 Loft Blade 80x370x12 alloy fin.

Rigged after 4 o'clock and took a punt that the wind would ease a bit. Couldn't have been more wrong, just got stronger and stronger. Came in at 5.15 with wind  well over 25 knots. Tongue out

Green Island, QLD, AU Great day on the island on the Iso 80 /RSR E6 7m2 /Tribal SW 27 .23-25 knots initially  but picked up later to 25-27 .

Water got rough really quickly so the hour was a real grind...!!!

Stoked to get a PB in NOVEMBER-unheard of in these parts ....SmileSmileSmile

Sailed with Captn Morgan -both knackered by the end of the hour ....

Port Douglas, QLD, AU  Worked harder than i wanted too till 3oclock .Then went for an afternoon blast with a Rick, Andrew and Simmie.Andrew stole my 6.6m sail as he left all his small ones at home. it was windier than i expected so 5.4m rig cranked down hard  on 97lt Isonic and 34cm fin was the right tool for the job, in a good stiff breeze and a lumpy sea..Dropped a couple of gybes out the back .Think it was because i felt shagged before i went out and  was sailing a bit flat footed.. Wind stayed solid till dark so i sailed till dark..Good fun session but it was to rough to lite it up...Cheers Ed..

Yer thanks Firie. 34cm fin is the smallest toy I got. But still managed to get little Isonic to 'tail walk' in 25kts and a choppy sea. Great effort at GI. Guys. Wish I was there.

firie, Did I just read right you turncoat Wink  That's akin to selling your baby!  You know you'll have to change your name to Fairybob if you join those princesses (otherwise I'll do it for you Wink)

Firie, you don't have to be one of the mob to be one of the mob you know... Everyone is equally well accepted around here. I guess you do get the inside goss on where everyone is sailing if you are on their team, though I'm sure the MM could make you an honoroary member for your stay.

Hey Eddy, 25 knots + FNQ slop chop is a hell ride, you'll never fall asleep sailing that Laughing

Anita FNQ's season's opp to here so generally no one sailing in team same time, I'm in Mandurah till end of summer so got to do as the Romans (bra boys). Don't need to get the goss where they are, they're all on the same puddle Laughing

Snags, I'll be back WinkCool

Hey Cam, how do you find the Tribal ?

dr cam

QLD
Australia
3073 days ago

The Tribal Speed weeds are amazing  firie-rock solid & great in shallow water -would usually need a 32-34 upright with the iso 80 & 7m2 -translates into much more time on the reef shallows when you can get away with a 27...CoolSmile

Firstly, dr cam that is one stonkin u turn! Congrats on a PB that is epic. Snags - you might be in shock, but I am catatonic. I have always struggled with handing trophies over to Stroppoo, but the thought of handing one over to Fairybob....oh the humanity....
