Clifton Beach, QLD, AU .Sailed from home again ...

Bit of a desperation sail today in a patchy 12-15 knots .

Used the FF 121 North warp 9m2 & Tribal Sl1 42 .

A couple more knots & it would have been great fun -gorgeous day with lots of marine life .

Super impressed with this board-so comfortable with the bigger rigs ...Cool

iS107, 7.0 RBlade, 36 Tribal Sl - Lammermoor Beach, QLD, AU ESE 14-17kn & one almighty rain squall E 19-29kn

Well I almost called it quits as gusts were very few and far between but noticed a rain band way off in the distance so thought i'd slog it out in anticipation and it didn't disappoint when it hit right on 4pm.  Really chuffed with a 32+kn peak and two 31kn 10 sec runs and a 28kn+ nm in blinding rain.  Was extremely hairy sailing with one eye open and trying to hold it altogether on the naughty run.

Green Island, QLD, AU

Typical day at Green, expected 15 to maybe 20kts, but we had a nice consistant 20 to 25, always disappointing!

Used my 2019 Isonic 72 Drake DW 36 and Overdrive 7.0, as its never windy hereCool

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Nice little sesh at the local with Tony the "Truckie".  Wind was a bit light on to begin with, picked up a little towards the end of the sesh.  Tony sailed WAY WAY offshore & looked to hone in on the best wind available... Cool  Went really well with his 6.6 NP sail- pity he doesn't do the gps thing...

My mast base tendon snapped a fair way out on the last run, so had to cruise back in carefully with the safety rope holding the rig precariously on the deck of the board...  Easier said than done as the wind decided to come in right at that very moment- so typical!  Decided to then call it a day.  Should have gone with my gut feeling this morning when I was thinking to put a new tendon on the base...

Still great to get out on the water on such a nice sunny day with no Ninja Turtles present (that I could see)!  Hope the crew are recovering as good as can be after yesterday's latte land session... Yell

Might even get another sail in tomorrow!  Tony sounded keen to give the mud pit another crack...

Used "Big Woody" Futura 124, Severn OD 8.6, Venom 48

"Long May our Big Jibs Draw!"

Boyne Island, QLD, AU

90 F2SX, 7M Koncept, 34 Rockit

Got there just on low tide, sun was out and the wind direction was finally square to the bank so had a short session sailing on some ripple flat water. Gusty but fun.

Hey Snags is that 36 tribal fin you are running in your Isonic a weed fin. Am thinking of buying some for my 105 🦊 ..Cam said 33 cm is good for big rigs but I see you are running 36.. just trying to figure out what to get.

Ed, I run a 35 Tribal weedspeed with my 7.8. Seems to be alright with the 7 as well.

Good going with big gear Pete.

That's good going in the open ocean sausage.

Thanks for the input guys. Have always struggled with small fins think its something to do with my bad sailing ability and lack of patience .. But I am getting sick of bad” wipe outs” from hitting animals and other objects in the water yesterday’s mishap is gunna keep me of the water for a while and have a heap of trashed gear to fix. Need a change of plan.. looks like I will have to buy new ones no much around in power box

Great to see everyone getting some sailing over the Easter weekend. Just got home from 4 days at Archer point and I can tell you, everyone has got to try and get there at some stage -- it is a great place to sail-  very fine and probably winder than Green Is. !! I know that is a big call but the last 4 days it was a very solid 20 kn, 24 kn 26 kn and 28 kn today. also it blows 24 hrs a day. Met some of the local kiters from Cooktown (there is about 10 of them) who reckon add about 6 kn to Cape Flatery wind readings. Used a very flat 5 m on wave gear but really needed a 4.5 m. You can camp right on the beach, or else stay at Cooktown and drive 30 min to Archer point -- anyone keen for this weekend ?

Good to see you finally got some decent wind at Burrum Dave, surprised to see you all sailed on southern runSurprised.   Was ESE down here all day and didn,t change direction much unlike previous 2 days. Good set of numbers again esp the alphaCool and backup on that again from Richo.

James, so good to hear the Archer Point trip was all that it lives up to!  Definately should be a spot on everyone's bucket list by the sounds of it!! CoolCool
